OPPO just launched their new smartphone that’s much more budget-friendly but still having that selfie-centric mantra. This is the OPPO A57, and Celcom is offering it for free for anyone who signs up for the Celcom FIRST Platinum plan with 60GB of internet.
Now, the OPPO A57 is – as mentioned, a budget-friendly smartphone. It has a 5.2-inch 720p IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 435 chipset (28nm process and not FinFET, if that’s what you’re wondering), 13MP f/2.2 rear-facing camera with PDAF, and a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera. This camera is similar to the one found in the OPPO F1s. Also, has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage to top it all off.
It touts a 2,900mAh and by what I can tell, a chipset made with 28nm process with this amount of battery isn’t going to guarantee a full day’s usage.
It’ll be available in Rose Gold and Gold colors, and priced at RM 1,098.
Now, from 15th April 2017 onwards, you can get one for free when you sign up for Celcom’s FIRST Platinum plan with 60GB of internet, or purchase it for only RM399 when you sign up for Celcom’s Gold Plus with 40GB.
Good deal? Sure – if you really need 60GB of internet every month. I mean, might as well get a free phone while you’re at it.
[UPDATE] OPPO A57 now available for pre-orders!
The wait is over! The OPPO A57 will be available for pre-orders starting from 20th April 2017 until 26th April 2017, and you can get it from the OPPO Official Online Store, Lazada, 11street, and Shopee. You’ll get a complimentary selfie stick and a small mysterious gift if you pre-order too!
