OPPO has launched a few phones under the A-series recently. We have the A57, A77, and A83, and now it’s the arrival of the OPPO A71. Comes with pretty alright specs for the price of RM699 only.
Let’s first talk about the specs. For its price, many people are skeptical about its performance.
- 5.3-inches 16:9 aspect ratio 720p IPS LCD
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with 1.8GHz octa-core
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB storage
- 13MP f/2.2 rear-facing camera with PDAF
- 5MP f/2.4 selfie camera
- 3,000mAh battery
For the price of just RM699, the OPPO A71 does look like a compelling offer. In terms of specs, the OPPO A71 is actually using the Snapdragon 450 SoC – which is manufactured with the 14nm process technology. Learn more about why it matters here.
When all things considered, the OPPO A71 is definitely trading blows with what Huawei has to offer with their Nova 2 Lite. The A71 doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor or any flashy features – just a very basic smartphone.
Though, the OPPO A71’s use of a tradition 16:9 aspect ratio screen is definitely off-putting for some. Any new smartphones released these days should have the 18:9 FullView display.
Considering the price, there’s really nothing much to complain about. Also, Digi has provided a bundle plan where you can get the phone for only RM299 by signing up the Digi Postpaid 58 phone plan.
