OPPO’s “selfie expert” series of smartphones is making a comeback with the all-new OPPO F5 that will debut in Malaysia soon. Like really, really soon. It’s now equipped with the latest selfie technology and 2:1 aspect ratio screen, too.
Knowing OPPO, the specs will remain the same worldwide – but the specs are still rumored as we know now. With recent leaks from Yugatech and with the launching date closing in, I can say with quite a high level of confidence that this is indeed the final specs list.
- 6-inch IPS LCD display, 2160×1080 resolution
- MediaTek Helio P23 chipset with 2.5GHz MT6763T octa-core processor
- 1/2.8-inch 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens selfie camera
- 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture rear-facing camera
- 4GB RAM
- 32GB storage
- 3,200mAh battery
In summary, we only know that the OPPO F5 is indeed real, and it’s coming to Malaysia soon. We’re not able to confirm the specs, but from the timeline trend and pieces of information we can gather, it seems to be the real thing.
As of now, this is the only image we have that OPPO Malaysia sent to us tech media. We’re not able to confirm the launch date of it in Malaysia too, but we’re looking at somewhere either the beginning or mid of November, as the earliest launch date for the OPPO F5 is 2nd November in India.
We’ll definitely keep this page updated when we have more information regarding the OPPO F5. Stay tuned!
[UPDATE]: It’s launching this 2nd November!
We’ve just received a few emails from OPPO regarding the F5 that’s coming to the market soon enough. Firstly, we know that were will be a total of 3 new Chinese celebrities into the OPPO team – a product ambassador and two selfie icons.
Just who are they, exactly? Well, if you know who they are, they head on over to OPPO’s Facebook page where you can stand a chance to win some prizes!
And yes – the OPPO F5 will be launching in Malaysia this 2nd November 2017 at 3pm. We’ll be there for sure – and we’ll update you when we have more information on the OPPO F5!
[UPDATE]: Ambassadors revealed!
Guess what just dropped in our email? The list of ambassadors, of course! Right here we have the full list – including recurring ambassadors since the R9s that we’ve reviewed here.
OPPO actually provided us a table of ambassadors (yes, a table!) with all of their details! Check it out below.
