It’s been quite some time since the Realme 3 Pro exclusive preview of that phone. But something struck me as weird – Realme Malaysia has a total of 3 series of phones in the market – the Realme (number), the Realme (number) Pro, and also the Realme C-series of smartphones. So, I checked SIRIM.
Lo and behold – there is indeed another phone in the SIRIM database. Take a look at this.
From here, we know a few things – the second phone that will be launching here on 14th May is the RMX1941. Doing a quick Google search reveals that this is the Realme C2. It supports only N-WiFi, which indicates that it is indeed Realme’s entry-level smartphone.
Just exactly how entry-level it is? Let’s take a look at the specs:
- 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with 1560×720 pixels in resolution
- MediaTek Helio P22 chipset
- Up to 3GB RAM
- Up to 32GB of internal storage
- Dual rear-facing cameras
- 13MP f/2.2 with PDAF
- 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor
- 5MP f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4,000mAh battery
The most impressive thing here for an entry-level smartphone is – of course – the massive 4,000mAh battery. It also comes with a rather massive display of 6.1-inches alongside with a triple card slot – two nano SIM and a single microSD card can be installed together.
Now, if our prediction is correct, Realme Malaysia will officiate the C2 tomorrow and announce its price. We expect it to be somewhere around RM599.
Unfortunately, our wishful thinking of the Realme X to be announced in Malaysia is out of bounds for now. Perhaps in another week or month.
