For those who are planning to get the Samsung Galaxy Note9 officially from Samsung, then you can actually get RM400 of instant rebate right now over at the official Samsung online store or at any other Samsung Experience Stores or authorised outlets nationwide.
UPDATE: Samsung has extended this promotion
Samsung Malaysia Electronics has just announced that this rebate for both the Galaxy Note9 128GB and 512GB variants will still have the RM400 price cut from now until 14th May 2019.
However, the prices of Note9 in the market has continuously dropped, and it is now at ~RM2,500. Still significantly cheaper than the price after RM400 cut. 🤷♂️
The Galaxy Note9 is honestly our favourite smartphone of 2018 as we have stated our reasons here. The big battery alongside with its fantastic camera and especially the new S Pen makes it the true winner. We also took it to a trip to Taipei last year. The new S Pen now also doubles as a remote control since it is connected to the phone via Bluetooth Low Energy.
Combined with the new Samsung DeX that works by just connecting a simple USB-C to display output dongle, it makes the Galaxy Note9 the perfect smartphone for presentations. Everything can be done via the smartphone itself. You can also check out our in-depth review of the Galaxy Note9 here.
Also, the Note9 can also install Linux as DeX now officially supports Ubuntu. That means you can develop programs on your smartphone too. Once again, connect a USB-C to display output dongle to the phone and DeX will fire up. Run Linux and you get every single feature there.
With that said though, the Galaxy Note9 is priced at RM3,299 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version, and at RM4,199 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version with the instant rebate. Originally without the RM400 instant rebate, the prices are RM3,699 and RM4,599 respectively.
However, even with the instant RM400 rebate, the prices are not the lowest. Over at Lazada, you can buy the Galaxy Note9 with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version for just about RM2,700 and the 8GB RAM version and 512GB version for RM3,599.
