For those who are familiar with how to purchase Huawei and Honor products from the internet, then you should know the online platform called VMall.my. Now, they’re making the announcement that VMall.my will be splitting into two separate online brand stores – one for Huawei and another one for Honor.
With the latest segregation of brand names since the the Huawei Nova’s debut, Huawei and Honor have actually been competing with each other with overlapping smartphone price points and specs. Take a look at the Nova series right now and it’s actually the same as many budget Honor smartphones. There is no line separating Honor and Huawei already.
It’s only logical that VMall.my to separate into two separate brand stores now. But how do they do it? By reusing all the the VMall ID.
To ease customers in transitioning to the new brand stores e-shopping activities, previous VMall users who have registered for a VMall ID in the past can now utilize the same ID to log in to Huawei and Honor’s individual e-commerce store.
That means both the new Huawei and Honor stores actually share the same customer database. Hmmm… 🤔. By separating Huawei and Honor stores, it seems like both brands are really disassociating from each other.
The main landing page is https://consumer.huawei.com/my/. As for Honor’s store, it’s https://www.hihonor.com/my/.
