Not only that Samsung is releasing a bunch of phones in the span of just a few months, they are also releasing a bunch of new tablets. Here we have 3 new tablets from Samsung that are available for purchase starting today.
There are a total of two tablets from the Galaxy Tab A series, one of it is the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) with pretty basic specs, and then there is also another Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with S Pen. These tablets are actually pretty affordable, too.
First off, the new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019). In less than a year after the release of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (2018) that we reviewed here, Samsung is back with another refresh – this time with quite a lot of changes. It has a tinier screen yet beautiful, and comes with a Samsung Exynos 7904 chipset instead. This is actually the same chipset as the Galaxy M20 (review) and the Galaxy A30 smartphones.
It is equipped with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with a microSD slot available. It is also available in WiFi-only or with LTE connectivity. The prices are at RM899 and RM1,299 respectively.
Obviously, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is aimed towards very casual users who just want a tablet to watch videos – and hence the low price. Pretty good, compared to other tablets in the market.
Secondly is the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with S Pen. This is actually Samsung’s tradition to have an 8-inch tablet with support of the S Pen instead of the one with a larger display. This tablet actually comes with the same specs as the Tab A 10.1 (2019) with the Exynos 7904 and 32GB of internal storage, but with 3GB RAM.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with S Pen (2019) is technically a smaller version of the Tab A 10.1 (2019), but with S Pen support. It is priced at RM1,099.
Then comes the Galaxy Tab S5e. Considered as the flagship tablet in Samsung’s lineup, it comes with a massive 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Snapdragon 670 chipset, a total of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage for the Malaysian variant.
This tablet is aimed at those who want to work with their tablets on the go as as there is a keyboard cover accessory that snaps onto the tablet itself. It does have DeX support – which we recently talked about in detail here – but does not have S Pen.
The Galaxy Tab S5e is priced at RM1,999.
