Here comes two more Xiaomi smartphones into the Malaysian market! Introducing the brand new flagship, the Mi MIX 2S, and the Redmi S2. Each of them are very affordable – so let’s take a look at what they’re all about.
Mi MIX 2S: Art x Technology
The marriage between art and technology. This is something that Apple has aiming for since the days of the flower pot iMac back in the days. The Mi MIX series of smartphone is also the first in the market that pushed the insanely high screen-to-body ratio. Now, Xiaomi is back with their latest iteration of this beautiful smartphone – the Mi MIX 2S.
As for the specs, Xiaomi is giving us all they have. Only the latest and greatest hardware is found in the Mi Mix 2S.

Redmi S2: The New Star
Who’s searching for a smartphone that’s affordable yet has decent performance with extraordinary battery life? I know I am, and Xiaomi knows it as well. Hence, the Redmi S2 is born – for people like us.
The Redmi S2 is quite similar to the Redmi 5 Plus that we’ve reviewed here previously. The core specs are very similar, but the Redmi S2 is actually a more affordable version of the already-very-affordable Redmi 5 Plus. Take a look at the specs of the Redmi S2 here:

The Snapdragon 625 is one of my favorite chipset to date. It’s decently powerful enough to handle everyday task and yet manages to be energy efficient enough to last the whole day throughout my usage. That’s why I never let go of the ZenFone 3 Zoom.
Price and availability
Guess what? In lieu of zero GST starting 1st June, Xiaomi has a treat for us. Both the Mi MIX 2S and the Redmi S2 are available starting on the 1st of June, and the prices listed are without GST!
